Maestro is built to just work — but if something's off, here's how to sort it, and how to reach a real person.
“No speakers found”
Almost always one of these:
- Same network. Make sure the device running Maestro is on the same Wi-Fi as your Sonos (not a guest network or a separate band that's isolated).
- Local Network permission. On iPhone, allow Maestro to access the Local Network when prompted (Settings → Maestro → Local Network).
- Local control enabled. If speakers still don't appear, open the Sonos app → Settings → System → Network and check that local control (“Connection Security”) isn't switched off — that setting blocks all third-party controllers, including Maestro.
- Tap Connect / Refresh to search again once the above are sorted.
Album art looks blank
Some sources (certain radio stations) don't provide real cover art and serve a plain placeholder. Maestro shows whatever the source provides; when there's no real artwork, it falls back to a neutral background. Music from streaming services and your library will show full covers.
Widgets, Live Activity & Watch
These read what the app is playing, so keep the Maestro app installed and let it discover your speakers. The Apple Watch app relays to your iPhone, so the iPhone app needs to be reachable for the watch to control playback.
Feature requests & bugs
Maestro is actively developed and feedback genuinely shapes it. Tell us what's missing or broken — short and specific is perfect.
